The earliest known mention of a
boiled-then-baked ring-shaped bread was in the
royal family's accounts of North Europe.
Its name was derived from the Yiddish
word beygal, meaning “ring” or “bracelet”.

1610

Ashkenazi Jews living in Poland brought the
ing-bread that hit the scene in Northern
Europe, leaving mouths watering and taste buds
dancing. Bagels made their grand entrance
indicating the birth of bagels.

1927

Tomer family founded Berg’s Bagels in 1927.
Eastern European Jewish immigrants
bring their bagel treasures to the land
of dreams, the United States of America.
A new chapter in bagel history begins.

1970s

The Lender family takes the
bagel world by storm with their
frozen delights, making mornings
easier and tastier for all.

1984

Seeing the brilliance in Lenders
bagels, the popularity led them to
launch bagel mania across nations.

1995

Love brews in the air as
Tomer and Delphine discover
their passion for India amidst the
vibrant streets of Hampi.

2022

Inspired by their Indian connection,
Tomer and Delphine embark on a
delicious adventure, giving birth to
Berg's Bagel, and honoring Delphine's
beloved grandmother Rosemberg.

We've circled back to India, where our
bagel-filled journey continues to unfold,
filling hearts and stomachs with joy.

We believe in saving the planet and our little contribution to it is by only using recyclable and recycled materials for take-away disposal.

And the most amazing thing is that we only use organic vegetables, fruits, and flour to minimize pesticide consumption. Safety first!

Upto 811 Million. Roughly 10% of the population regularly go to bed hungry. 250 million tonnes of food is wasted everyday all over the world which can feed the one in need. And to eliminate wastage of food we are trying to make a change by redistributing it to those in need.

Sharing 1% of profits with employees is something we believe in as they put in so much hardwork.

We are also contributing to reforestation efforts by planting a tree for every 1000 bagels sold
